News Agency RIA said that the desire of the Bulgarian authorities to issue visas to Russian tourists directly at the airports in Russia is unacceptable in terms of the desire of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Schengen area. Meanwhile, the Russian side of the project on facilitation of the visa regime in Bulgaria intends to implement the project within this year.
However, waiting for the moment of entry into the Schengen area, Bulgaria adopted the law, which strictly governs the issuance of visa documents directly at airports of the country. Under the bill, the issuance of such visas is possible only for humanitarian purposes, which complicates the task of the Russian ambassadors intending to exercise the previously described idea.
