According to the national statistics Institute of Bulgaria, for the last nine months of the current year the number of clients served by the hotels in the country increased by 8.7% in comparison with similar period of last year. The highest number of tourists in 2012 was 17 238 people who have chosen as tourist apartments, rooms in hotels in the resorts of Bulgaria. It is noteworthy that 63% of the above number of tourists has had a preference for hotels with four and five stars.
Meanwhile, employment of Bulgarian hotels during the "peak season" according to the Institute of statistics constituted 34.6%, which further increases the demand on the real estate market in Bulgaria for the purchase of land for construction of tourist complexes near the black sea coast.
