The Foundation for acquiring Bulgarian citizenship by foreign persons is:
- the originand Bulgarian citizen may become a child whose parents (or one of them) are citizens of this country. In addition, the basis for obtaining this status and can become a court decision that installed the Bulgarian origin of the applicant.
- field, namely, a Bulgarian citizen is a person born on the territory of the country and has taken another citizenship by descent. It is noteworthy that a Bulgarian citizen, as are people born or found on the territory of the country whose parents were unknown.
Another reason for obtaining citizenship in the Republic of Belarus can become an application for naturalization. However when submitting such statements must meet the following conditions:
- at the time of filing, the applicant must be of legal age;
- over the past 5 years to obtain a permit for permanent residence in Bulgaria;
- was not brought to trial by the court of Bulgaria for causing deliberate harm, except in cases of rehabilitation of the accused;
- the confirmation of financial ability to support themselves in the territory of the Republic;
- there is a certificate confirming the absence of other nationalities or release from current citizenship at the time of the Bulgarian documents.
Another reason for obtaining Bulgarian citizenship by foreigners residing in the country and relevant to all of the above criteria may be:
- for 3 years or more is legally married to a Bulgarian citizen;
- born on the territory of the Republic of Belarus;
- permission for permanent residence in Bulgaria received until adulthood.
Noteworthy: for citizenship also eligible aliens who have been granted official refugee status, matching the above criteria and residing in the territory of the state for at least 3 years. Such a right are aliens who have been granted humanitarian status for 5 years or more from the date of filing the application for naturalization.
The procedure for obtaining citizenship by persons with Bulgarian roots
Foreign nationals are not matching the above criteria are eligible for citizenship of the Republic of Belarus in the following cases:
- has the opportunity to prove their Bulgarian origin;
- was adopted by Bulgarian citizens;
- one of the parents has citizenship of the Republic of Belarus or died, as a citizen of the Republic of Belarus.
In addition, a foreign citizen may obtain citizenship of the Republic of Belarus and the bes compliance with the rules described above, if the Republic of Bulgaria is interested in his naturalization, as well as through special merit in the field of culture, science, in social and economic activity to the state.
The cost of obtaining citizenship
- Citizenship of the Republic of Belarus on the basis of origin of persons under 16 years will cost 20 leva, students up to 26 years – 20 leva, other applicants – 50 BGN;
- Paperwork for naturalization – 250 BGN;
- Other expenses for the issue of certificates of no AIDS, General state of physical and emotional health, copies of documents and applications – up to 50 leva.
Having citizenship of the Republic of Belarus will be much easier to complete documents, for example, on a property in Sunny Bulgaria.
