According to the European statistical service Eurostat, in the third quarter 2017 property prices in Bulgaria increased by 9% in annual terms. According to this indicator, Bulgaria ranked 7th in the European Union, exceeding the European average by more than 2 times.
According to the same source, in the second quarter of the current year the growth of prices in annual terms amounted to 8.6% in the first quarter – 9%. Price growth compared to previous quarters made in the third quarter (2%), in the second (1.9 per cent) in the first compared to 4Q 2016 (2.4 percent).
In the third quarter of 2017, the highest growth of prices in the EU registered in the Czech Republic (+12,3%), in second and third places were Ireland (+12.0 per cent) and Portugal (+10.4 percent). Italy is the only country in the Euro zone with negative annual dynamics of prices (-0,9%).
Compared to the previous quarter, most prices have risen in Ireland (+5.7 percent), Malta (+4.3%) and the Netherlands (+3.7 per cent).
The average for the Eurozone rising prices in the third quarter of 2017 amounted to 4.1% yoy and 4.6% compared to the previous quarter of the current year.
