According to the European Statistical Agency EuroStat, in the second quarter of 2018, real estate prices grew by 7.5% compared to the same quarter of 2017, and 2.8% compared to the previous quarter.
For comparison, in the first quarter of this year growth in annual terms amounted to 7.1% q-o-q and 0.9%. Despite the positive trend, compared to the 3rd quarter (9%) and 4 quarter (8.2 percent) in 2017, the growth rate slightly slowed down.
The growth rate of cost per square meter in annual terms, Bulgaria ranks 7th in the Eurozone, behind the Netherlands (9.3 per cent), Latvia (8.7 per cent), Hungary (10.4 percent), Portugal (12.6 percent), Ireland (12.6%) and Slovenia (13,4%).
Growth in quarterly terms, Bulgaria is located on the 5th place in the EU, behind Slovenia (4,2%), Malta (3,2%), Latvia and Romania (3,1%).
