The Greek crisis has led to unprecedented demand for cheap houses and lands in the neighboring territories of Bulgaria. So, Greek nationals are actively buying cheap rural houses in nearby villages to the checkpoint Ilinden – Exohi. Moreover, as noted by secondary sellers, cheap property in Bulgarian villages, interest from Greek buyers is huge, but the crisis that took away most investors funds, keeps them in the lead for buying apartments, because the prices are already increased markedly.
Meanwhile, since 2005, since the opening of the Bulgarian – Greek border was seen mass buying up local houses, which triggered the growth of prices of farm real estate located particularly close to the shoreline of the Black sea. So, if 10 years ago the houses in the villages could be bought at bargain prices in 2000 BGN, today cheaper 20000 lions to buy new Bulgarian apartments is almost impossible.
