In the first half of May, Bulgaria changed the rules of entry for visas issued in other countries.
Now you can enter BG if you have one of the documents:
- Schengen 2-fold visa / multivisa “C" (provided that it was previously used to enter the Schengen area).
- Schengen visa “D” / Romanian / Cypriot visa “D” (subject to at least one prior entry into the State that issued it).
- Indefinite residence permit of any state in the Schengen area, as well as Romania / Cyprus.
According to the listed visas, it is allowed to stay in the country for 90 days during a 180-day period.
Those who own Bulgarian real estate, for an unlimited stay in the country, usually try to get a residence permit.
