Citizens of the Russian Federation started the year with an active investment in Bulgarian property. So for January and February, they invested in the Bulgarian "squares" of €1.2 million, i.e. 25% of all foreign investment. Second place is occupied by citizens of the United States that have invested in property in Bulgaria for €0.7 million, i.e. 15.1% of all investment. What kind of housing is in demand among Russians?
Young families often buy beachfront apartments in a resort complex with a large territory and infrastructure, to rest them in the summer. But seniors interested in urban housing, which is maximally suitable for permanent residence.
In addition to the Russians, an active interest in Bulgarian property shown by the citizens of Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
As for cities, Sunny Beach remains the leader among investors, as it has a well developed infrastructure and good housing prices. There is also a noticeable growth of interest to real estate in Burgas, which foreigners are buying to move to Bulgaria for permanent residence!
