According to the National Institute of statistics, the pace of construction of new residential units in Bulgaria has decreased markedly. Peak construction accounted for 2008-2009, despite the midst of the global financial crisis. During this period, were completed and put into operation the facilities, construction of which was begun in the pre-crisis period.
Over the past year, according to published data, was put into operation about 9200 new dwellings, which is significantly lower than in pre-crisis years. However, experts are optimistic, since the price bottom has been reached, the real estate prices have stabilized and due to the growing demand gradually begin to grow.
