Agency by entering Bulgaria published data on the dynamics of real estate transactions and mortgage lending for the third quarter and overall for the first 9 months of 2017.
Mortgage loans
In the third quarter of 2017, Bulgaria was issued 16000 mortgage loans, which is 5% below the second quarter of 2017 and 26% higher than a year earlier. For the period from January to September of 2017 the number of loans increased by 28% yoy.
Varna. In the third quarter, banks issued mortgages 1338, 5% less than in the second quarter. Growth for the period from January to September compared with last year's data was 24%.
Burgas. In the third quarter was formalized 665 mortgage loans, which is 21% higher than figures for the same period in 2016. The increase for the 9 months amounted to 21.6%.
Sofia. In the third quarter in the Bulgarian capital was issued 4420 loans, which is 7.5% less than in the second quarter. However, in comparison with the third quarter of 2016, the increase amounted to 29%. For the period January-September the annual growth was 30%.
In major cities of the country, the rise in mortgage lending volumes by an average of 30% per annum. Among the reasons for this decline in interest rates on loans and macroeconomic stabilization in Bulgaria and the Euro area.
The purchase and sale of real estate
The number of real estate transactions in the third quarter reached 56293, an increase of 3% compared to the previous quarter. Affected by the traditionally high demand during the summer period. However, in annual terms a decrease in the number of transactions by 5%.
For the first 9 months of this year, the Agency writing, there were almost 150 thousand transactions, which is 5.3% less than last year's value.
Varna. In the third quarter in Varna was held 3015 transactions, which is 3% lower than a year earlier. For the period from January to September was 8112 transactions, which is 1.4% more than in the same period of 2016.
Burgas. In the third quarter, sales increased by 13.7% compared to the previous quarter and by 6.4% in annual terms.
Sofia. In the Bulgarian capital in the third quarter of 2017 hosted 6300 deals, marking a 15.3-percent reduction compared to 2016 (7442 transaction).
For 9 months the total number of transactions reached 18 765, which is 4% higher than the same period in 2016.
