The most popular format of holiday homes – apartments with one bedroom and a living room combined with kitchen, analogues of the Russian two-bedroom apartments Euro style. The popularity of this format of holiday property stems from the fact that such housing is used by tourists for temporary accommodation and a large apartment for such purposes is not needed. One-bedroom apartment is easier and cheaper to maintain, they are in great demand among tenants, so they're easier to rent out.
In Bulgaria the ratio of flats is about the same as the resorts, and 9 of 10 apartments with one or two bedrooms are objects with the kitchen combined with living room.
