Karolina is a residential complex on the second line in the eastern part of Sunny Beach, close to Nessebar, about 300 metres from the sea. What to know before you buy

• Location. The second line in the east of the resort: the beach is about 300 metres away, a five-minute walk. Supermarkets, pharmacies, cafés and bus stops are close by, and old Nessebar is a few minutes away.
• Apartments. Spacious studios and one-bedroom apartments of roughly 50 to 85 sq m with balconies and large terraces, many overlooking the pool. They are usually sold furnished and with appliances — we check the condition of each one.
• Pool and grounds. An outdoor pool with a children's section and a sun terrace with loungers.
• Building. An eight-storey building with lifts. The complex is completed with Act 16 and open all year, so the apartments can be lived in permanently.
• Documents. Before a deposit is paid, we check the documents for the apartment, that there are no maintenance fee arrears, and the terms of the contract.

Sunny Beach is the largest resort on the coast, with a wide sandy beach. Shops, pharmacies and cafés stay open out of season; Nessebar is a few minutes away by car, Burgas airport about half an hour.
