What to know before you buy

• Location. First line by a quiet beach between Byala and Obzor, about 50 metres from the sea. The shops, cafés and pharmacies of Byala are a few minutes away.
• Apartments. Studios and one-bedroom apartments of roughly 42 to 90 sq m with large glazed balconies; ground-floor apartments open onto the courtyard. They are sold furnished or finished but unfurnished — we check the condition of each one.
• Pool and grounds. A large outdoor pool with sun loungers, a green courtyard with lawns and pines, and a playground.
• Buildings and parking. Modern four-storey buildings and on-site parking. The complex is completed with Act 16, so the apartments can be lived in all year.
• Security. The grounds are gated and guarded.
• Documents. Before a deposit is paid, we check the documents for the apartment, that there are no maintenance fee arrears, and the terms of the contract.

Byala is a quiet small town on the northern part of the coast, with wide beaches and vineyards around it. People live here all year; Varna is about 50 minutes away by car, Burgas about an hour.
