The Association of British travel agents has published a forecast of tourist preferences in 2019. According to the report, sales of vouchers for the summer season in 2019 will increase by 12% in comparison with the figures of the current year.
In the list of preferences of Britons lead Europe, which in the next 12 months plan to visit 61% more tourists than in 2018. Among European destinations, the most popular of Bulgaria and Greece, the growth of visits which will be 30% and 6% respectively.
The popularity of Bulgaria is associated with historical sites, beautiful beaches and low prices on vacation. We have all heard about solar resorts Sunny beach, Saint Vlas and the Old Nesebar is a cultural heritage site of UNESCO, as well as winter destinations-Bansko, Pamporovo, Borovets.
The projected growth in tourist activity is also related to the fact that in 2019, Plovdiv has the title of cultural capital of the EU.
