In connection with the increase of tourist flow to Bulgaria from neighboring countries, namely Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus took the decision to simplify the visa regime for citizens of friendly States. According to the head of the Ministry Kristian Vigenin, already in the beginning of the summer season the number of tourists from those States grew by 40%. The growth of tourists in turn provoked the strengthening of staff training, and correction of the state budget aimed at improving work consular missions in Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus.
Meanwhile, in addition to neighboring countries, an extensive campaign to attract tourists has affected many other countries. Thus, the Bulgarian government has undertaken the accreditation of the few companies able to independently carry out the issuance of visa documents significantly simplifying operation of specialized services.
