Court cases over overdue loan repayments by hotel complexes along Bulgaria's Black Sea coast have ended in a major sell-off on the local property market. Through private bailiffs, 25 hotel complexes have been put up for auction, with advertisements for 11 already published on the Chamber's official website.
Of the buildings being sold, the most expensive is in the well-known resort of Sandanski. Property market experts estimate the hotel's value at more than 3 000 000 Bulgarian leva. The cheapest building can be purchased in Kotel for approximately 160 000 Bulgarian leva.
