City officials Balchik adopted the programme for the development of the resort in 2015. Next year, the city administration plans to spend more than 580 thousand euros. The cost structure is as follows.
About 47% of this amount will go to the organization of cultural and entertainment events, which aim to raise awareness of the resort on the world stage. In the action plan included the festivals of Bulgarian films and folk art.
Another item of expenditure, which accounts for about 310 thousand euros, includes the modernization of the resort infrastructure: improvement of parks, beach areas and recreation areas.
