The management of the Federal Passenger Company announced plans to launch trains from Moscow to Varna and Burgas, two of Bulgaria’s most popular resorts, in 2016. The company also plans a Moscow–Istanbul rail service and routes to Croatia.
This news will please those planning a holiday in Bulgaria who would prefer to reach Varna or Burgas by train. Almost two years ago, RZD cancelled trains No. 59/60 between Moscow and Sofia because of a substantial decline in passenger numbers.
