In the first half of 2016, Russian citizens invested 3.9 million euros in property, representing 15% of all investment by non-residents in Bulgaria. The Bulgarian National Bank published these figures.
Russians shared second place with British citizens by investment volume. Norwegians led, investing 4.7 million euros in Bulgarian property in the first half of 2016.
Total foreign direct investment in property in the first half of the year was 26.1 million euros, compared with 36.5 million euros in the corresponding period of 2015.
