Bulgarian tour operators have recorded an increase in early bookings made by tourists from Russia and Germany. According to Ivan Ivanov, chairman of the Burgas Regional Tourist Chamber, early bookings made by German tourists have increased by 10%, while Russian tourist arrivals are expected to grow by 20–25% compared with 2015.
According to Ivan Ivanov, bookings have also increased among visitors from the United Kingdom (+12–15%), Poland (+19–22%) and Israel (+16–18%). The rise in bookings, together with the increase in charter flights planned for summer 2016, gives Bulgarian tour operators confidence that the coming holiday season will be a busy one.
